Democracy”に関する議論が，ここ10年でさらに市民社会論，参加民主主義論，公共圏，公共性，合意形成，教育論，意思決定論などでそのステージを拡大し更なる注目を集める中，これを方法論を問うものとして限定した上で，個人としての行為である「熟慮」を集団で行う行為が「討論」であるとして，“Deliberative Democracy”に「討論民主主義」という定訳を与えた。そしてこの「討論」を方法論的に支えるための先端技術を紹介し，その可能性と限界について論じた。\n　本稿では，集団における「討論」のみならず個人レベルでの「熟慮」の過程も重視し，「Web2.0」楽観論と距離をとりながらWeb空間が個人の「熟慮」においていかなる点で問題であるかについて，公共性論と“Deliberative
