| 内容記述 | This paper will examine literature pertaining to the internationalization of higher education, with a specific focus on Japan. It begins by providing an overview of the definition of internationalization in higher education in general, before examining Kokusaika（Internationalization）in Japan and Japanese higher education. Through the literature, the driving forces of internationalization; academic, social, economic, and political, are examined in relation to the internationalization of Japan. After establishing the predominant driving force, the paper discusses the problems associated with policies and reforms and highlights areas that need to be addressed if Japan is to successfully internationalize its higher education system. | |||||||||
