In particular, the theory’s impact on organization theories has been significant. The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of this model on the development of organizational theories from a theoretical historical perspective, and at the same time, to identify what constraints it has placed on the development of organizational theories. To this end, we examine how their evolutionary theory of economic change was constructed. The arguments of this paper are generally as follows. Their evolutionary economics model was designed to simulate innovation diffusion, which led them to propose the construct concept of organizational routines.
