Lives Matterが活発になっている。奴隷解放宣言から150年以上，公民権運動より50年以上経た現在でもアフリカ系アメリカ人への人種差別は解消しているとは言えない。2015年ピューリツァー賞ファイナリストに輝いたスーザン・ロリ＝パークス（Suzan-Lori Parks，1964-）のFather Comes Home From the Wars Parts
