The authors conducted survey in both Japan and China between July and November of 2012, and collected answers from 219 Japanese and 205 Chinese respondents respectively. The statistics analysis led to the following results: in comparison to the workplaces in Japan, workplaces in China represent the higher degree of “power distance”, “collectivism”, “uncertainty avoidance”, “masculinity”, “diffuse culture” as well as “clarity of orders/disciplines”.
